SWISS KRONO at BAU 2019: exhibition for the construction industry
- Kategorie: Innovations, Products
17. January 2019 | Numerous product innovations at the SWISS KRONO stand
We spend most of our time indoors. SWISS KRONO has set itself the task of developing wood materials for individual, healthy living and working spaces. We will present these latest innovations at BAU 2019.
The first public presentation of the SWISS KRONO TIMBER PLANNER will be one of the highlights at the SWISS KRONO stand. Architects, engineers, planners and processors can use this digital planning tool to search hundreds of wooden components to find the right component for their specific construction project. Various filters, such as regional requirements, building class, type of property, sound insulation and fire protection regulations, help you find the right product quickly. In addition, the U-value, resistance to condensation and static performance of components can be checked and optimised. Pre-formulated tender texts are filled with details of the selected components and can be individually supplemented with more information and used further depending on the property. Components can also be downloaded in the IFC4 format and further processed with BIM-capable software or CAD software. “As the digital successor to the our Timber Frame Construction Handbook, this web app offers concrete help and facilitates the daily work of architects, planners and processors”, says Uwe Jöst, Managing Director of SWISS KRONO Germany. “We will be here until Saturday. Do visit us; we would be glad to present this tool and all its functions to you.”
The web application can be accessed at timberplanner.com and is available in German and English. The first reactions to the web app have been extremely positive. Many visitors gave us the opportunity to explain the app’s mode of operation and filter options. The tool was also presented during the architects’ tour and the visitors showed great interest in it. You can test the TIMBER PLANNER yourself on several tablets.
Visitors were very interested in the new water-resistant laminate floorings, which can also be used in damp rooms. According to the NALFA test, standing water that is absorbed within 24 hours leaves no traces on the laminate flooring. A highly source-reduced mounting plate, the newly developed AQUA PEARL click system and the accompanying skirting boards with flexible soft lips ensure that the floor can handle the occasional mishap with liquids – even if they are not cleaned up immediately.
AQUA ROBUSTO is the name of the KRONOTEX collection and offers a selection of 12 décors.
